About the event
Whether you are working on your 11th Step, or just want some help to "stay in the moment", this event is for you. You can choose to sit in one of the provided folding chairs, or bring a cushion/floor pillow/ yoga mat of your own to sit on the carpeted floor. Whatever makes you the most comfortable.
Our good friend Peter E will lead the meditaion. You can arrive at 9:30am to fellowship and get ready. We will lock the door at 9:55am, so that we are not disturbed by late-comers. The meditation will begin at 10am, and will last approx one hour. Bathrooms are available. If you arrive after 9;55am, please do not knock on the doors.
Cost: $10 donation to the church. We will pass a basket.
About Peter:
Peter’s meditation and Centering Prayer practice began in the 70’s with “The Cloud of Unknowing” and envelopes interest in the practices of Mindfulness, Zen, Hesychasm, Kriya Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, Mikkyo and Ninpo Taijutsu. He is a commissioned presenter of Contemplative Outreach’s Centering Prayer and 12th Step Communities. Peter has been the retreat master for many Matt Talbot retreats throughout the metropolitan area and has given several retreats at the Enders Island Retreat House, Connecticut on prayer and meditation for Silent Retreats and 11th Step Recovery Retreats.
