Lets start the new year on the right foot...hiking with like minded Friend's of Bill to Lake Surprise. The hike will total 3 miles of moderate pace, with lots of short breaks. The first mile of the trail is a bit strenuous (700 feet of elevation gain) as we slowly make our way up the Bearfort Ridge to reach beautiful Surprise Lake.
What: An awe inspiring hiking adventure to and around Surprise Lake in nearby Hewitt NJ. We will find a spot on the trail around Surprise Lake to eat lunch. Join like minded friends of Bill. W. and come build your sober network while enjoying this 3.5 miles of hiking though absolute beauty and great views.
When: Monday Jan 1st. Meet at 10:30am. Return to trailhead parking lot by 2pm-ish
Where: Abram S. Hewitt State Forest.
