Lets go hiking with like minded Friend's of Bill in Harriman, and sitting around a campfire for lunch. The hike will total 5 miles of moderate pace, with lots of short breaks.
We will hike to "Bald Rock Shelter" in Harriman and make a fire. Bring a bagged lunch or hotdogs to roast :)
What: An awe inspiring hiking adventure to a shelter in Harriman. We will build a campfire at the shelter, eat lunch there. Join like minded friends of Bill. W. and come build your sober network while enjoying this 5 miles of hiking though absolute beauty and views.
When: Sunday March 5th. Meet at 9:15am. Return to Panera by 3pm-ish
Where: Harriman State Park (Trailhead: Kanawauke Picnic Area on Kanawauke Rd (Also known as RT 106)
MEET AT
Meet at 9:15am at Panera Bread's parking lot on Rt 17N in Ramsey. Carpooling available, or follow us, caravan style. The address is 1300 New Jersey 17, Ramsey, NJ 07446. Located in the Kohls parking lot.
OR meet us at the trailhead at 10:00am (Kanawauke Picnic Area on Kanawauke Rd (Also known as RT 106)
Who:Sober Adventurers, their families, friends, and dogs.
Difficulty: Moderate with a few uphill stretches to get your heart beating :)
Cost: A sense of adventure.
Other: Bring a bagged lunch, bottled water, and snacks. Depending on the weather, dress in layers, and you may want crampons or micro-spikes for your boots if there is ice/snow on the ground.
